Visual Spaces of Change: Unveiling the Publicness of Urban Space through Photography and Image

SCOPIO International Photography Contest is designed to encourage the creation of an interesting photography series with a minimum of 10 and a maximum 15 photographs, with a descriptive memory not exceeding 2000 characters.
This means working with a concept and defining it visually through the photographic process, thus creating a series of images related to one another. However, the relatedness is best achieved by a cumulative effect rather than the order in which the images are presented.
SUBMISSION
Photographic entries should be submitted addressed to the following email: scopiocontests@cityscopio.com – the web service WeTransfer should be used to send the photography projects.
The submission must consist of a zipped folder (max. size 40 MB) named with the name of the participant (FIRSTNAME_LASTNAME.zip) with the following contents:
- Title of project and body with resume (must not overcome 2000 characters), in English;
- Work summary: technical elements;
- Minimum of 10 and maximum of 15 photographs.
Digital signatures or watermarks on the images submitted to contest are not allowed.
The set of images must be all in JPEG or TIFF format, and each image should not exceed 2MB. The files of the images must be identified and numbered according to the display order that is intended, for example: PROJECT_NAME_PHOTO1, PROJECT_NAME_PHOTO2.
PRIZES
The best project will have as prize a professional photography equipment.
The best selected projects by the jury will be published in VIEWFINDER scopio ® magazine and highlighted in scopio network.
Honourable mentions shall be attributed according to the jury’s evaluation and decision.
All the awarded participants will receive a certificate.
The author of the winning project will be entitled to 3 (three) examples of the publication.
The authors of both the awarded projects and the other submitted projects will be notified for the official launching of VIEWFINDER scopio® magazine, via email.
The selected projects must send the photography files with print quality (300dpi) and colour proofs within the date, which will be decided by the organisation and will constitute the deadline for receiving the material in time for it to be published. The authors will be notified by email, so as to be able to send in the material.
